The Two Pubs and Hatton Flight Walk - 25th August
Date: Saturday 25th August 2018
Start: Meet at the church car park at 11:45 am to share lifts.
Route: This ‘there and back again’ canal side walk will begin with a beer at The Cape of Good Hope before following the Grand Union Canal as it meanders slightly up hill toward Birmingham. We won’t be walking that far however and will be stopping at the Hatton Arms for another drink (and possibly a bite to eat at the pub or Hatton Locks Cafe) before returning (downhill) to our starting point. The paths on this part of the canal network are generally well maintained and easily traversed. The main point of interest is the Hatton Flight, a series of 21 locks that together raise the level of the canal 45 metres.
Length: About 5.5 miles (easy).

CVM #TG19 - June 2019
Christian Vision for Men's annual Gathering in 2019 is June 21st - 23rd and a group of us will be going from St James (some have already booked up!) The price until 31st October is just £85 and early booking is advised as tickets have been going fast.
We recommend you book individually using the link below, and we will then have a sign-up sheet in church nearer the time so we can organise the group. We will be arranging transport and camping equipment between us, so don't worry if you don't have all the gear!
For more information see thegatheringformen.com or come and speak to Martin, Alan or Mark in church and we will be more than happy to tell you of our experience of this years event.
